someone walks by
almost unnoticed like a thin mist that grabs you and leaves you
blind
you might not know them but still they grab you
everything goes slowly
every moment lets you by
we claw and beg at time to let it wait so every breath draws them
in
it hits you like a ton of ice
you want to laugh, cry, scream and explode all at the same time
but all you can do is stand still and stare as your love floats by on
misty air
you want to run
you want to shout
you want to take them in your arms for the rest of time
your body begs for just one touch
or even a wisp of breath
and even if you get that you breath it in deep into your lungs like you
want to drown in it
your body can't move
you can't breathe
you can't speak
and the world no longer exists
it's only you
and them
how you wish they only turned to see you
or whisper one tender word
because that would be enough
so it can be engraved in your mind
so you can replay it over and over
and how you savour the sweet words
and long for more to satisfy your need for it
then later on
you replay every moment
every second
every movement
every grain of dust hasn't passed you by
then you close your eyes and picture it
it feels wonderful to picture it
then your heart weeps
when you realise he's turned a corner.
