Behind the forest paths, once grey,
that autumn has blessed with sheets of Gold,
where the sun now shines at the End of the day,
where my soul now lives even though it is old.
The trees I climbed when youthful gleam
shone in my naive eye,
the girls who smiled and turned away,
for youth is always shy,
The days I laughed and laughed away,
The days when Sunbeams kissed my brow,
The days I look back on a solemnly say,
Where are those days now?
