For so long it was her
I saw in your eyes
they watched without sound
but she wrought new ties
that took her away
to another and you
just watched them alone
and wished it was you.
As she became happy
a lesson you'd learn
-with him she would love
and be loved in return.
And though you would watch
before leaving the trial
you still became lost
in the depth of her smile.
