Unraveling the Road

I’m walking in my dreams
Always moving.
My feet unpick the seams,
Nervously removing,
The weight of my actions.
A frightened reaction
To a warning.
Spoken
By the lips of a friend
Gentle not scorning.
On a bike,
At night.
What a hike for the heart.
Loneliness fills the trough,
Truth turns it into a broth
Too bitter to drink.
Just let yourself think,
Of what might have been,
What will not be,
Then let us see,
How this is better.
