Carnival Time

The people were lining the streets
Young and old in the Summer heat
Waiting for the procession of the Carnival floats
Some of the floats were shaped like boats,
The bands were playing
And the people were dancing and waving
The Carnival Queen was on her float smiling
Surrounded by colourful flowers
Giving out scented powers.
