Don't lay there softly blinking
I see through your fluffy guise
Behind your feline peepers
Circles homicidal cries
You may be sweetness, by the fireside
Nuzzle'ing closer to the heat
Your features cute as candy
As you beg your favourite treat
But there's an underlying evil
Below your silky-ebony, coat
An instinct that sits opposite
Your purring and your dote
I saw you in the garden
Stalking that pour mouse
Three hours you crucified it
Before you fetched it in the house
Tossing it in the air, like a rigid lifeless log
I'm glad I'm not a mouse
Are you relieved I'm not a dog
