The spring of summer grass
Buoyant
beneath my feet
Lightens life's imparted
burdens
Free of pathway crowd and
street
Undulating hillsides
Tractor
divots gently scar
No angular high-rise
boxes
To limit visions of
afar
Gentle breezes carry
perfume
Of fresh and pure accent
No
pollution green house gasses
From noisy engines
spent
Shrills and shrieks of frantic
birds
Some nesting some in
flight
No beeps from horns
No
mobile phones
No shouting through the
night
If these walls should sink around
me
Descending into chasm
unforeseen
Then I shall sleep my restful
hours
Among these countless shades of
green
Under moon and stars I'll
live
Upon a makeshift grassy
bed
You can keep your concrete
boxes
I want freedom for my
head
Horizons stay my walls
Ever
changing ever true
Dawn to light my
days
Night to stem the blue
Fires
flame to warm and soothe
Earth to insulate my
sleep
In fields of green
I'll rest
my dream
In natures arms to
keep
