Wealth

Everything, I possess, ten-times over
May not append a worthy sum
Life blesses and enriches, perchance
Aimed, by destiny's, grace or shun
Yet, what I have makes me most, affluent
Though, the wealthiest may not agree
Still, I beg to be at variance
My secrets plain to see
Look past my whitewashed walls
Around my, threadbare, aged settee
Through my second hand, attire
To what enriches me!
I realise it's not obvious
Unseen, by naked eye
Yet, every day that passes
My riches, multiply
Every smile my family gives
Encrusts my walls in precious stone
Each thank you, each embrace
Transpires my couch, into a throne!
Their happiness and contentment
Marbles, every single, floor
A laugh, turns pot to silver
A, hello! oaken's, every door
I love you floods the coffers
That keep my wealth inside
It bathes my mind in dignity
And strains my heart with pride
As they grow older, I'll become richer
As they fulfil there sought for goals
Fate's been more than generous, in my favour
Aren't I the luckiest of souls!
