A Broken Dream
Laughter once roamed here
But now I'm left cold,
Love once grew here,
But the feeling is old,
Happiness over come me
But now I grieve,
I cannot stay here;
And I cannot leave.
Dawn once rose here,
But only night remains,
The dark felt safe
Now brings such pain,
Freedom did rule,
But I'm prisoner held tight,
Candles once glowed;
Without the light
Time stood still,
Now the hours fly by,
Both the sun and the stars light the sky,
Nothing evil or deadly prowls
But spirits haunt and spectres howl.
Once I was safe, content and free,
To be together just you and me,
This life I'd built with memories shared,
I thought you knew, I thought you cared.
