Not Now, not Never

Last summer, was just the greatest, the best, the most fantastic summer
ever. It was the summer of 2004. The summer after I turned 14. The
summer I left my childhood. Every year, I go to Cornwall with my dad
and my two older brothers. It's hard, living in a house full to the
brim of boys, too much testosterone. Too many random girls floating
around. My dad, he's 47, but I suppose quite cool, for a dad. He makes
us call him Dave, as that is his real name, and the best bit is that he
doesn't embarrass you infront of your mates, or a 'male friend' you are
going out with. He doesn't ask their life history. He often lets us
just have the house to our selves. My brothers, Scott and Danny are 21
and 19, Scott is studying Law, and desperately wants to be a lawyer
when he's 'grown up'. Danny is more a family man and he is still
looking for 'Miss Right'. Every time he's been out with his mates, is a
bit drunk and brings a girl home, a different one every time. I, on the
other hand, I think am more your average 14 year old, I like shopping
and shoes, have two indredibly strange mates, Sara and Clementine,(we
call her Clem) who are, as I said, slightly deranged. Clem, Sara and I
have always been slightly childish, whilst everyone else was too busy
snogging their latest lover, we've been throwing eggs from tower
blocks. But then, one summer, It all changed.
