A diva was once known as the darling of the black and white
screen
A diva today is a star whose vision is always seen
An untouchable figure, an icon to many
Capturised on the silver screen, the stage or a magazine glossy
A princess of pop or a Hollywood queen
She shines as she shimmers with every smile that she gleams
Adored by many or the object of the emereld eyed monster
Catacombed by lights, camera, action, she is a star
But away from the glitz and the glamour surrounding her fame
The diva could be a lonely being drowning in her frame
