Iced Dreams
Once in a dream, in an ageless gaze
I met your soul in a cavern,
A warrior I faced.
The walls gleamed of ice, adjured a promised fate
As the moon she sang in harmony
Illuminating the wake
I sat upon a rock, cold in presence and solitary bare
Warmed by an instinctive promise
That our souls would meet and flare.
Then from the shadows your spirit crept, enticing me in your
hands
Breathing random thoughts, down my neck
Whispering ancient echoes, sacred to man
We stood and stared, into our eyes
As mysteries awakened archaic songs inside,
You took me firmly by the arm,
And with the ghostly figures we danced
Their long black shadows graced the floors
Swirling, moving, like the mist to the shore
In timeless notions passing by,
Touching at the core of ecstatic life
I lose myself in your unspoken reflection;
Feel you pulling close to my inner doors
I breathe in time to your rhythm,
Adjoining you, in your thoughts
Our eyes they lock once again,
Breaching the internal fires of revered peace
Your lips they move to seal this pledge
But darkness calls the lights to cease.
