Lost in your time
I saw you in a distant age
Your eyes shone a valiant blue, dispersing sun-glazed seas,
Your tides hit the shore, hauling me closer
Like a ship lost in a timeless void,
Alluring me now home, to your inner harbour.
You welcomed me into this sweet embrace
The vagary of your hands,
Beneath the Oaken boughs, wandered inquisitively
Like a child with a new toy
Discovering every inch of its essential being
Detecting myths forgotten with time
Remembering in each exquisite feel,
Discovering mountains, forests and caves afar.
The eras have passed and ironed our wrinkles flat
With youthful smiles, rejuvenating in the spiral of shared life.
The revelation of the morning song, lining on your silver clouds
Burying the eye deep into my chest
A shield from the malign, a rest for your pledge
A promise incorporated on your lips,
The storyteller heard your truth spoken, played at the fiddlers
core.
We stole into mutual existence,
Like the bird pilfering a twig from the Birch's hair,
Stealing away, under the warm morning sun
With an awareness of well being
Holding part of his new home, in his mouth.
Our ghostly reflections hit the mirrored pool,
Hinting, our hands are bound in a thick white cord,
As we fall into each other's skin
Smelling each others taste
Living each other's tale, till we melt here whence again.
