Like looking over Derwent Dam
With water flooding over
Is stepping into Monday shoes
The weekly precipice

Like waiting for a coming lift
Or driving round a cyclist
Is getting up on Monday
With eyes still tightly pinched

And at the top of Win Hill
You cannot see the meadow
And on a Monday morning
The weekend is forgotten
