Later.
This week is not going as plan!
I have just had 6 days looking after my Mum who has dementia, she didn’t realize that I have travelled each day to hers many miles, to get there, and spend 9 hours with her each day, then travelled back home.
So, yesterday was a chance to have some me time.
I knew from last week, the yellow sticker sales had started at my favourite shop, last week, so had planned out my week, so that I can benefit and not miss out, on goodies.
My plan was to drive to two stores yesterday, and then go on the train 15 miles away to the other store today. Tomorrow when I drop my car off at the garage 8.30am, I had planned to go to another store also by train 18 miles away!
So, I went to the first store, yesterday, one of my favourites, full of excitement, knowing there would be bargains to be had!
I saw the reduced signs on the other side of the store, when I arrived. I got my trolly and made my way over, but it soon became very clear, there were no bargains to be had!!
I was shocked and disappointed. I had a good look around, as it is also good to keep an eye on things that, at a later date, if they are still there, then it will be sweeter, when they are reduced.
I had given myself a challenge, to spend no more than £6 in each store, as we were all given a £25 voucher for Christmas, mine was converted into my favourite store.
Sadley, nothing I saw, and loved, was under a fiver!
After about an hour or so, of still enjoying myself, I had one item in my basket.
My voucher would not be paying for it; it was unscented odor free gentle paw wipes! Was pleased with my purchase.
Decided to go to KFC for my customary one chicken on the bone and small fries. I used the drive thru, as it is quicker and cheaper, as I don’t know how to find it on the large touchscreen that they have inside. This way, it saves me a pound at just £3.
I did that, and then parked my car, and went inside with my hand sanitizer. School kids were in there, so I couldn’t sit in my usual place by the large window, so I sat far away from them. I was waiting for a staff to moan at me, when they saw my bag and not a tray of food, but other than those few kids by the large window, there was just me in there. So, I was left alone.
Was disappointed in there too, as my half warm, fries were limp, and the chicken that I always eat second wasn’t any better. Where I sat, behind me was a metal mesh, and some kids were there, with their Mum ordering their food. I always have a fear, that someone is going to sneeze in one of these places, and that fear came over me, as I sat there, feeling vulnerable. Thankfully, no one sneezed.
I then joined the rush hour traffic, while listening to, Hillsong, Melody of Grace.
It was still a good day, days don’t always go as planned, but plans can be changed and put on hold.
Today was a pyjama day, so did housework, and enjoyed it, then had a lovely bacon sandwich with medium sauce and goats’ butter, then watched a bit of A Place in The Sun, and wrote.
They said it would snow today, glad we had a lot of rain instead.
Looking forward to taking my car to the garage tomorrow, will decide then what to do, if I go anywhere or not. I might go on the train, 15 miles away, as the store there is massive! x
