I love to watch A Place in The Sun. I watch it almost every day. I love all the different presenters. But I have a clear favourite. My favourite presenter is Jasmine Harman! She is such a natural. In the back of my mind, she always reminds me of someone. This someone who she reminds me of, was on telly tonight, and I was flicking through to see what was on, I stopped as I saw it was her! Think I only missed ten minutes of it. I then watched it all to the end. So, who does Jasmine Harman always reminds me of?
The last song at the end of the documentary, I paused it and played it over and over again, at least fifteen times! It was with such Feeling and Passion and Honesty. I was on my own for this part, so the telly went on LOUD! The song was perfect. Each word of that song, just summed up her young life. I looked at her eyes, as she sang, her hair, her hands, her clothes, her mouth. Her flawless skin. It was bitter sweet, it was very powerful. It was just perfect!
As she sang this song, it showed a play of her life, and her dad was in the audience watching it, I didn’t want the camera to be that close-up to his face, I thought it should be private, but as a celebrity, there was no chance of that.
The song really got to me, and after I had played it fifteen times, I then found it on YouTube and read many of the comments. Every single one was fantastic; they were likeminded like me.
She is my third favourite singer, Whitney is my number one, a family member unknown to the world, is my number two and she is my number three. In 1981 she sang the moving song, called, “Going Nowhere.” WOW!
The Great, Lena Zavaroni! x
