Watching My P's And Q's.

I had seen some videos about it. I thought it was bad. To the person who is doing it, they think it is sly and good. It is good for them.

I went to the supermarket today. I did a bit of shopping; I carefully chose my few things for me and my family.

For the last eight months or so, I have been using the self-service, as I think, checking the reduced, items isn’t always checked at the tills, half the time, the reduced item doesn’t scan. At the self-service till, I take my time, and check each price before and after I scan it. If the price is wrong, I call the staff over, so that they can put it right.

Today I went to my local supermarket and as usual I went to the self-service. I had bought a pack of eggs and when I scanned it and put it on the other side, it was then that I noticed that through the clear plastic, than an egg was missing! I didn’t notice it when I put it in my trolley, and nor would I have noticed it, it if I was at the till, rushing to put the items into my bag.

I called the staff over and showed her the missing egg through, the clear package, “I will go and get you another one.” I said to her, “I have seen on social media, people have been seen on camera, opening, egg package, and taking one or two eggs out, and slipping them into their bag!”

We need to stay alert while shopping. A young work colleguge recently went to the shop and bought runny honey, when she came back to work, I noticed that the protective, paper seal, had moved and was not in line, I showed this to her, and said, “This had already been opened,” And pointed to the broken seal, She said, “I checked the lid and it did not dent in.” I checked it too, and said, “This has been opened by someone in the shop, you must not use it.” She said, “I won’t, thank you for pointing it out to me.”

I told Mary when I was young, there was no such thing as protective seals, but as people from time to time would put glass or metals in some foods, companies would have to change the way they did things, and move with the times, to keep their customers safe and to save their business from going under!

It seemed, that it wasn’t my P’s and q’s I needed to watch, but my eggs!
