Poem of light

far in the distance
in one instance
life gift was given to the pair

"do good" saith the old man
the universe unfolding
the pair molding this existence

but pow'r fed
lust and thirst nurtured
the pair strayed

created by two
the one of light
becomes one of dark

deeds of coldness
shake this land
the gift fades from the pair

only one of light
can save this land
only now can we pray

for life
for love
forever
amen
