Gone

<Gone>
According to your heart, something sweet drifted near.
We shared a love, settled softly, settled clearly.
That would never depart, laid its treats at my feet,
of this heart of mine is complete.
Once we had ghosted, how did we get here?
Lost in yesterday, having left with these memories.
In our heads, with no room, just every ache and every sting.
Of the night we met, every moment love could bring.
Then the walls rose, nothing stated as it played, it felt like a home being foreclosed; in our dreams, sealed the past.
Everything is now exposed. As I sit with my spoon in hand,
We both need to be consoled. Eating ice cream melts our plans.
Letting go feels detached— no more scenes, no more cries.
And fractured. Just a harsh balancing act.
Like the caged bird, in disguise, notice as the void
With her torn wing, it attempts to lose its voice.
To sing.
Not avoidance, just truth, cry less, let it be.
Aging out of its youth. Let it go!
So we end with a piece of you. It ends: what we remember.
On paper hearts, in ghost trails. The time we had, in blue.
We shall still be friends. After the glow, until then, forget.
Those tears.
Time has gone by.
Honey on the wind.
