GRIZZLY BEAR
(Michael Bellerby)
At my house there's a real smelly bear
Who's forever pumping and fouling the air
He thinks it's only his home and he can do as he likes
That's why me and my brother are always out on our bikes
He sits all day long and watches the telly
He only gets up now and then to feed his big belly
His hair looks so dry with loads of flaky dandruff
And he drinks lots of beer 'cause one's never enough
His feet smell of cheese and his nails need a cut
I really think that his chair is glued to his butt
He grunts and he roars if his supper is late
And then when its finished he'll lick the plate
There are a few times when he'll have an energyspurt In which he'll
crawl to the bathroom to remove some his dirt
So the air-freshener will come out for a good long blast
Ah, it's so nice to see the settee's pattern at last
His shirt's in a right mess it's covered in bits of burnt toast
But he's 'not bothered' he says, he just wants today's Racing
Post
He did go to work once and I know he earned loads of money
And when he came home he'd play with us and be funny
But now he has a bad back with some pain down his leg
And even for the smallest amusement we'll have to beg
There are even some nights I hear mum and him having rows
Then, when he's tired he'll say, 'woman, remember your vows'
It's not very easy for us to live with an old grizzly bear
All we want is our dad back, how we don't care.
