JENNY
Jenny is my special friend, but her life's not the
same as mine
But never once does she complain, in fact she says
she's fine
I've never seen her run around or jump or hop or
skip
And although confined to a wheelchair, a smile never
leaves her lip
I know her disability gets her down, but she doesn't
let it show
In fact it's her who cheers me up when I am sad
and low
Her speech is sometimes hard to follow, but to me
it's crystal clear
I'm sure others too could be her friend, if they
took the time to hear
Oh how I wish she could be like me to be free to
run and play
But I've been told it will never be, until her
dying day
So I will be her friend for life, of the different
we should not fear
Friends are friends no matter what, but I hold
my Jenny oh so dear.
