Perfect World

If the world was perfect
There'd be sunshine everyday
There'd only be tears of joy
And never a need to pray
We'd always wake up smiling
And happiness would come free
Everyday would be a weekend
And you would be with me

If the world was perfect
There'd be no hurt or pain
Nobody would be uncaring,
Jealous, rude or vain
Everybody would be equal
The sky would always be blue
Chocolate would have no calories
And I would be with you

But the world's not perfect
Sometimes we're made to cry
There's war, crime and poverty
And sometimes there's grey sky
People aren't perfect either
Although I know you'd disagree
Despite the things we want in life
Some things just cannot be
