Trembling Venus

All my want has been forgotten in you
Your cool body up against my heated skin
A trembling Venus
Did I imagine your glow?
The "memory" clings to me
Bare and edgy (like the truth)
Yet shrouded in the haze of time
Whose distance has done nothing
To dispell the loaded sensation
Of your body (coolly pressed to mine)
Nor the fire burning
(Smoldering still) just blow my skin
My eyes still sting from those moments
Of radiating warmth
(I recall you said it burned you too)
Did I only imagine that
As well?
Your thighs
As I touched them (barely) began
A whole other mystery
Semi-transparent perhaps
But a mystery none the less
(Which I quickly solved)
Quickly touched them again
(Just to make sure of their reality)
Giving them my warmth
My heat
My trembling Venus
Whisper again that I did not
Imagine you.
