"I guess what I'm trying to say is¦
Her head falls.
His eyes fill.
"Was it something I did? he splutters.
Anger rises.
Then subsides.
Pain kicks in.
"Can we start again? he murmurs.
Eyes remain on the ground.
Clothes are packed.
"I'll always be there if you need me, he splutters.
Bodies meet in one final embrace.
A man stands on a busy road looking up at a second floor window. In the white frame stands a woman he once knew. Her eyes are red and her fingers touch the glass as if trying to reach the figure in the portrait she sees. He turns and walks slowly down the pavement, everything he owns hanging from his shoulder in a bag she once bought him.
