Asleep

I shave away the last flecks of guilt
They float down into the bathwater.
A razor strokes the length of my thigh in preparation passing time
While thinking of what to say.
I practice my smile and
Imagine submitting my kisses to you
Trying to make you feel like a man once again.
Last week
I sought to speak and air my frustration
And within this cavern of time I admit I could have chosen my words better.
Thoughts washed down the drain
I hope tonight to start again.
I slip of a red silk corset
With matching thong
Heals long and curved begging
To thrash in the air.
DING DONG
You are there
At the door
I answer
Timid and tickling
I let you inside
Fixed on your eyes as they
glaze passed mine
You are cold
I try to warm you with tea and
The smile I practiced
You sit and speak of this and that
I listen to your stories of your day and
Your plans for the next
I slip beside you
I stroke your hair
kiss your neck
message you shoulders trying to
do anything
to keep...
oh
You are asleep
