My Gavroche Sonnet

Though my Gavroche is only from a book
he is only a made up fairytale
a foolish boy from a story he looks
on happiness he somehow casts a veil

And though I have met richer boys than he
not a penny has been left to his name
yet sadness in his eyes I do not see
and so by loving him I feel no shame

I love him because he is very brave
and he would give his life to save his friend
tis him and no one else whom I do crave
one single bullet caused his dreadfull end

he is braver than any person real
this is an endless love for him i feel
