While I sit and lick my wounds,
wallowing in selfish platitudes,
my ears keep hearing of the others
in that bombed and burnt out world of horrors

How acutely sad to think that 'they'
cannot find another way,
to tackle this great liberation
being imposed upon that nation.

They've got Saddam - their old dictator,
- that sad despotic perpetrator.
Now frightened people have no bounds,
while soldiers strive to tame their grounds.

Saddam is gone! Now Bush is there!
So which dictatorship is fair..?
Please take your bombs and stop your noise,
and give these people back their voice...
