Goodbye

I take one last look hoping this last sight I see,
Will stay with me forever, stay fresh in my memory.
This picture printed in my mind means so much to me,
It's the most wonderful sight there is, it's all I want to see.
I walk away for the last time, and deep in my heart i know it,
But that is something I can't bare, I find it impossible to
admit.
A sinking feeling drags down my heart, and pulls on my shattered
soul,
I can't remove it, it won't go, I no longer feel whole.
As the distance between us grows, so does the pain,
I can't believe this is it, I'll never hold you again.
My eyes fill with a devestated tear, one which I can't hold back,
It drops from my miserable eye, of tears there is no lack.
I realise now that you're gone, you're a world away from me,
Even though I'm in a crammed and busy room, I've never felt so
lonely.
