Wherver You are

When I first met you I was blind,
I didn't know what an impact you'd leave behind.
Now all I have are memories aging with the years,
But always new and still about you are the tears.
I'll always regret what I didn't do,
Because in life the chances you get are so few.
I waited by the window hoping you'd pass by,
And after a while you didn't, so I went to find you, just I.
I'll always try to find you, probably without success,
But when it comes to you, I'll always try my best.
Still, there's always something by your side,
That's hope, hope is the thing that makes you decide.
Maybe where I walk you walked once before,
Perhaps what I see you once saw.
This wind that hits my face might have hit yours,
Yours might have been a voice that I have heard outdoors.
This rain that dampens my skin might have trickled down your
face,
We might have even been together in the very same place.
A cloud that passed over you may have passed over me,
Perhaps water that slid through your fingertips splashed against me in
the sea.
Chances are rarely found, and when they are they don't last long,
So when you find one take it, or all your dreams will be gone.
