In my Childhood I had many dreams...
Sweet and Tender and Vast .
..and I had the Khoyai(1).
Both have suffered the same fate now!-
Concrete blocks have stunted the vastness
and the horizons have been lost forever !

Note
[1]Khoyai is the word in my native tongue Bangla ,for vast eroded lands of red clay. The nearest patch of khoyai to my home ,was taken up by developers to build a housing complex .We lost in the courts and lost the Unspoilt natural beauty fore ever .In this poem i equate that to another loss that of the innocent optimism that i had in childhood.

The note seems to compliment
The note seems to compliment the poem here, I wondered if you had considered intergrating footnotes into you style of poetry. It would be a kind of glossary of poems when the reader can enjoy them and also learn from them. This would be especially good in this case, where you have a minimalist poem balanced by the explantory note. I am part of a Bangladeshi writers group called brine pickles and have a keen interest in Bangladesh, so I am looking forward to reading more of your work.
