One Sunday Meal

One Sunday I ate lunch on my own.

No other company is better than my own.

Everyone was talking, while I was reading, on my own.

Starters arrived and I took that first sumptuous bite.

Universal adoration for the menu was apparent.

Never had I tasted a Heaven such as this in my mouth.

Delighted when the main course came and went.

A full and hearty belly stumbled out of that restaurant.

You can't beat a meal on your own.
