B) She and I

- 511 reads
My mind is her dominion,
Her puppet is my tongue.
What more damage can she wreak,
If while I am still young
She's turned me into what I am
And sentenced me to this?
She crawled in like a maggot, then
Seduced me with a kiss.
She lies, and when she speaks to me,
I close my eyes and ears.
But still her black words wriggle in
And prey upon my fears.
When I argue, she retorts;
The blade of her reply
Always cuts until I bleed,
Although it is a lie.
She makes me feel like nothing,
A servant to her crown.
She knows she has me conquered.
She knows I will stay down.
For now, to most, she is disguised,
Her power is not seen.
But hiding does not trouble her,
She knows she is the queen.
My knowledge of her victory
Is all she wants to see.
But one day she and I will know
There's no-one else but me.
