Murder

War does not exist. It's just a word that people use
To 'justify' the massacre and human life they lose.
War is just on paper; in life it's hard to tell
The difference between war, and simply living hell.
War is just a power game for people in control
In which every soldier plays an unimportant role.
To the soldiers there's no acting, no stuntmen and no script,
No wardrobe crew to mend their clothes when they get torn or
ripped.
No safety net, no cameras, no director standing by
In this grim reality, when you die, you die.
War is only murder dressed up in politics,
But does this make the slaughtering of innocence less sick?
To the loved ones of the soldiers, it's neither her nor there
If they died in war or not, their grieving does not care.
Their dying for a 'worthwhile cause' does not affect their grave,
They're dead, they're dead, they're always dead, whatever 'cause' they
save.
