Valentine's Card

Valentine's Day. I open my card.
My fingers are numb. My throat has gone hard.
Passions around me tangle and twine.
Kisses and hearts but none of them mine.
Cupid's arrow has left me unscarred;
A nameless envelope; inside a card.
Nobody asks me 'What does it say?'
Nobody sees 'Happy Valentine's Day.'
Nobody reads the message to me.
Nor the signature 'Love, nobody'.
