U, You know

There were blissful moments
when the day didn't seem to
end
when sunlight lingered
and your voice warmed in
greetings

Your eyes would follow,
would
know my every move,
would meet my glance
and return
my smile.

Happiness fondled us
caressed
us in its warmth,
sat us in a sweet smelling
world,
that tasted of honeyed spice
and lingered in
our mouths.

Cold wintry skies
could not
cloud our minds,
hands held secrets between their
warmth,
shared the joys of belonging
and cuddled away
mistrust.
Through summer days

lingering in
fields of yellowed corn
brightness lingered in our
heat
precious stories we told.
We watched as hopes

abounded in the bumble bees voyage,
safety held
between your kisses,

as treasures roamed between
each touch,
skilful guided tours in pleasure
of
sharing intimate space
gathered longing, passions never
settled
lustful journeys taken
you know?
