When We Dance

When we dance
it will last all night.
They will retune the violins,
retighten the drums,
the trumpets of love will be repolished,
all bridges, behind, will be demolished,
when we dance.
When we dance
it will transcend when and where.
They will repaint the Rembrandts,
reopen the bar,
The guns of love will be reloaded,
the bunting and the streamers will follow, unfolded,
when we dance.
Romance will rise from its unmarked grave,
all previous convictions will be waived,
when we dance,
when we dance.
