Bus Pass and Jeep Run Away Together

Bus Pass gapes in awe of ‘Søstrene Grene’s’ marketing policy.  Their ‘free rug’ voucher doesn’t actually activate until a week after their Grand Opening, necessitating that Bus Pass, and approximately 99 others, take a second trip into town to pick up said free rug.  No doubt purchasing several reasonably priced items swithered about the previous week.

Bus Pass managed to persuaded jeep to come along too, as free rug is not small, and jeep hasn’t been to the big city since the January sales 2017.  Jeep was reluctant at first,

“Fancy you asking me that!”, they cried, more peevish than was polite in the circumstances. 

After much cajoling and persuading, and frankly, Bus Pass getting cross, it transpired that Jeep’s peevishness was due to the fact that they never get to sit upstairs.  Jeep dreams of bumping upstairs, then rolling and falling over in the sway, making a loud metallic snapping noise on the bus floor, causing old ladies to jump out of their skins.  Bus Pass assured jeep that falling and making snapping noises is just as much fun on the lower deck, where more old ladies sit than upstairs.  Jeep hummed and hawed.  Bus Pass reminded jeep of the time they spilled a whole paper cupful of tea all over the bus floor.  Jeep chuckled.  Exasperated, Bus Pass exclaimed,

“Afterall, old thing, carrying stuff is fulfilling your destiny!” 

Jeep thinks Bus Pass took that too far, but recalled the relaxing trundle across the smooth, smooth floors in big city shopping centres, and how proud they felt being stuffed to the brim with half price sheets and towels, so agreed,

“Oh yes, do let’s”. 

Bus Pass, while slightly hurt by jeep’s reluctance, thinks that this was jolly decent of jeep in the end. 

What a brick!
