Dear God

Did you bring her up to you God,
Did you bring her to the better place?
Do you let her watch my life unfold,
Do you let her gaze upon my face?
I know you are aware of how she hurt me,
She hurt my brother and my sisters too.
We can never escape her painful legacy,
Did that earn her a spot with you?
I’ve heard that you are not a vengeful God,
That you have been known to show mercy.
Would you think it out of line God,
To give mercy to my sisters and me?
And please while you are at it,
Be sure you don’t forget my brother.
He may have been the hardest hit,
By all the damage from my mother.
Since we’re talking favors God,
There is one more you can do for me.
Please don’t take me up to heaven,
Her face is the last face I ever want to see.
Thank you for your time God.
