Like a leaf in fall

I crunch, crumble and break

In the hands of even the gentle

a brittle life, a brittle girl

"Your smiles so pretty Lorine"

 

The most painful compliment

One i find hard to even type

let alone hear.

I cant even tell if its a compliment at this point.

 

At this point. 

I hope its not a compliment

Because if it isnt 

 

At least somone is seeing me

Deeper than that smile, that dull smile

 

Please.

JUST LOOK PAST THIS BREAKING OLD MASK

 

CRACKED AND SHATTERED 

 

BARELY HOLDING ON

A lesson to realise that it's not pointless compliments most want but a reaching out of sympathy and in a way that enables the possibility of shared confidences. Someimes you need to force someone to see something of your need. And pray. Rhiannon
