The door closed gently as my heart slammed shut.
No words were spoken. but love had said it all.
No tears, No sorrows, just an empty space inside.
Where love had once made its dwelling place

Love walked down that lonely path
Taking with it life's promise itself
Blue eyes that looked beyond my soul
Hands that would tenderly hold me
In my deepest despair, walked silently away

What man could hold back the passage of time?
