My Question Mark
The mirror calls me, to catch a glimpse
I stare and puck a brow in uncertainty
I feel confused yet anxious to see
This human without identity
Does it have a name, an age, a race
or is it all a mystery?
That I've grown from birth to child
from child to?what?
I wonder at the question mark this leaves me
It's a question mark that leaves no sign, no clue
Just a plain black figment of the imagination
It's an enemy that's found this evil way
To be the master of all punctuation
So tell me question mark, what is the purpose
you have come to serve?
You appear out of nowhere,
Judge me for my mistakes as if you've got the nerve
I admit I've done wrong in the past
I admit there's secrets I've sworn to hide
But its too late now question mark
you should not force me to confide
You have no right to turn my smile
into a horrid frown
You have no right to come to me
and turn my life around.
You stand all high and mighty
and ruined my way of living
So can you tell me question mark
Is there a way for your forgiving?
Can I turn back the hands of time
And believe what I thought was true
?.or do I stand opposite this mirror
And wish my life was you?
