IF I COULD

If I can make a difference in one life
then my life has been worth the time.
If I can help this world in just the
smallest of ways it justifies mine.
If I can feed one hungry mouth, give
one loving hug, say one kind word.
Save one life then I have performed
a miracle in my time.

If we all give a little of ourselves to
others think how the world would change.
For every action there is a reaction that
ripples somewhere in life's chain.
If we all did some small kindness every
day think of the cataclysmic range.
Kindness flowing through the world
creating miracles day after day.

We could wipe out hunger and disease
death and hatred for each other.
All peoples would be fed and loved
and we would help our brothers.
Such miracles are possible with
Sister and brothers helping each other.
Hatred and distrust disappear and this
world, through love, would recover.
