In the Garden

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series] 

Christ on his knees, raw human anguish,
awareness, dread of what’s ahead;
real prayer for help, then full submission,
compliance, acceptance.
.
The Passover lamb they’d eaten earlier
– He knew that He that Lamb would be:
God’s will and glory, not His comfort –
– commission, submission.
