Not just ‘hope-so’ hope!

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series – a day early this week] 

Not ‘hope-so’ hope – we wait with sure
good knowledge of what's now secure –
the promise of eternity
spent in a better place to be.

That promise certain for it’s given
by Him whose words are faithful, proven,
secured by Jesus’ crucifixion
that paid the price, then resurrection!

But still the promise that each one
must ask, receive, this hope to own.
The most important thing to do    
while yet we can: I have, have you?
