"The Good Old Days" -- rjhudson
Eating red popsicles
'Til your whole mouth is good and red
Grilled cheese or PBJ for lunch
Of course, with the edges peeled off the bread
Staying up late at night
Long after mom sent us to bed
Talking back or out of turn
And getting hit right upside the head
Racing older brothers to the light post
Losing every time
Telling stories to other kids on the block
Crazy stuff to keep them in line
Paying a buck to swim at the pool
And playing these silly contests
Worrying our parents trying to see
Who can hold his breath the longest
Those are my fondest memories
The good old days I'd give my eye-tooth to relive
My fondest memories
The good old days
