As the sun sets on the horizon
As the birds begin to stop their current flights
As darkness looms over the light
Souls are suddenly lost
Swept away by a single tear
A drop of pain, misery and agony
The pain, misery and agony of being alone
The tear falls, and slowly dries up
It has been lost for eternity
As most souls have been lost
I watch all this happen, a sense of calm washing over me
The blade shines in the pale moonlight
One swipe, and, one more soul is lost
A tear stained soul, crimson with blood
And this all goes to show that this is how it all ends?
