SELECTED FOR INCLUSION IN THE
HAVERING POETS ANTHOLOGY 1999
Life
Life is fluffy white clouds on a blue sky,
Or just as a swallow is flying on high.
The sweet music from birds when they sing,
Lambs dancing across meadows in spring.
Life is the love given to those, who are dear,
And to the memory of those, that cannot be here.
Appreciation shown for favours not asked,
Help also given when you have a hard task.
Life is the cry from a baby new-born,
The scented breezes across meadows at dawn.
Or the soft sweet nothings whispered in your ear,
Life is opening your eyes, seeing your still here.
