"Silhouettes and Shadows"
Nurses
To those wonderful people who are dedicated and are a special
breed,
They will always attend to you, for anything and whenever be the
need,
The assignment they do takes courage, discipline and
determination,
The Trusts should honour them, for they are a credit to this
nation.
They are elegant, efficient and charming, whatever be the case,
I've never seen a nurse yet, with a long and foreboding face,
Their duty is to comfort those, who are in trouble or in alarm,
They will always be there for you, to offer a helping arm.
I must now pay my respects, to those that helped me through,
Over these many intolerable years, I have really needed you,
I stand and salute you all, I know you really understand,
For I'm just a very grateful patient, and I'm also a man.
