OBSERVANT ALFIE
My name is Alfie Mutter and I really love my Mum,
She feeds me when I am hungry, if I'm wet she'll change my bum.
I love my Dad he is great; he bounces me on his knee,
I only hope he won't do it, when I am twenty-three.
I have a big brother Thomas; he fell and landed on his nose,
Mummy cut his hair the other day, and now he looks like Gary
Rhodes.
We have moved into our new house, it's not far from Nanny and
Noy,
That is what my brother calls our granddad; his name is really
Roy.
Daddy and Mummy painted my bedroom; in yellows, blues not browns,
The top half is blue emulsion; the bottom is covered with clowns.
They have tidied up the garden; it's now so beautifully clean,
Our slide and swing have been put out there; it's looking quite a
dream.
Daddy has lots and lots of decorating to do, in our lovely new
home,
Granddad Terry comes and helps sometimes, if Daddy calls him on the
phone.
We often pop round to see our Nanny Val, and over the park we go,
Thomas always shouts to her, that she's pushing the swing too
slow.
Now my room is finished, I can sleep there on my very own,
Daddy's and Mummy's snoring are worse than the telephone.
I now lie in my lovely bed, and close my eyes to sleep,
But I'm so pleased with my room; I'll just have another peep.
