QE II
How silent and gracefully you move while being towed from your
berth.
They say that you are the finest ship ever to be built on this
earth.
You always look like a sparkling new pin from fore to aft.
Passengers on board agree you have the most excellent of staff.
Dining rooms with exceptional food and efficiency sublime,
Voyagers declare you are the only ship they would sail in every
time.
The engine room is enormous and kept so meticulously clean.
The driving force that runs you, silent and reliable, is steam.
Tourists from across the world sit and play upon your decks.
The captain is in control with no faults against him yet.
The crew cleans the cabins and corridors thoroughly every day.
Other chores are accomplished while passengers sleep the night
away.
Entertainment selected by the recreation officer has been
arranged.
Dancing and cabaret also many party games.
At the captain's table they will eat, if they are chosen.
The guests are from all walks of life, so nobody is left frozen.
When you are moored to the dock with ships of a different kind.
The passengers have all gone home some to return another time.
Your silent engines will be tested and readied for another tour.
For us that have sailed in other ships you are the only one that we
adore.
